Phantom Blade Zero update reduces Hua’s grabs and tackles PC stutter
Rod Oliveira ·

The latest patch adjusts combat, fixes progression issues and cuts down shader compilation at startup.
Hua keeps catching you? Phantom Blade Zero’s latest update gives players on Wayfarer and Pathbreaker some breathing room. The boss now uses grab attacks less frequently on those two difficulties.
S-GAME also fixes progression blockers and adds separate controls for hit sounds. On PC, the update changes shader compilation to reduce startup times and addresses stuttering with Bluetooth controllers.
Ray tracing shaders no longer compile automatically at startup. Depending on your previous settings, the first launch after updating may still require a one-time compilation.
The PS5 update carries version 1.302.289, while S-GAME labels its published patch notes 1.0302256.
If technical problems interrupted your campaign, this is a good moment to give it another run.
